The Goddesses of Avalon are also feminine archetypes representing the Goddess within each person, both woman or man. The sculptures have many uses such as: decorate altars, celebrate rituals and meditate with the inner Goddess to achieve personal development goals. Each Goddess has some attributes which identify a person with an arquetype, however that person can also work to develop other virtues which belong to other Goddesses (arquetypes). This connection with the inner Goddess may establish both women and men, since men also have to learn to balance both masculine and feminine energy.
This collection is inspired by the ancient religion of the Goddess and the Sacred Wheel of Britannia which is still celebrated in some places of the UK.
"These sculptures are part of an inspiration I had in early 2010, after a year of having made our trip to Glastonbury.
My first contact with the Goddess was through the movie "The Mists of Avalon" based on the famous novel by Marion Zimmer Bradley, and a year later we got the chance to travel to Avalon in August 2008. As curiosity, when we went there we were not sure why we were going, why fate led us to know that place. We thought that we would find something there and that was why we had to go. And so, Avalon is so magical and powerful that has impacted us forever. For me to know the ancient religion of the Goddess has been as remembering the past and has opened a new way of expression that I didn't use: the transmission of feminine energy through my artwork. That trip to Avalon changed my life, I found myself."
